STANDARD WARRANTY

We want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase.  If for any reason you light fails or malfunctions, Tovatec warrants its products against defects in material and workmanship for 1 year from Date of Consumer Purchase. Pursuant to this Limited Warranty, Tovatec will, at its option, repair or replace legitimately defective products. Repair and/or replacement may include the use of refurbished parts or products. “Refurbished” means products or parts that have been factory restored to original specifications.

Warranty coverage only applies to the original purchaser, when purchased from an authorized Tovatec dealer. Proof of Purchase from authorized dealer within the past 12 months must be included with all warranty returns.

 The Warranty does not cover: (1) Rental or Commercial use (2) damage caused by accident, misuse, abuse, improper installation or operation, product modification or neglect, (3) damage occurring during shipment; (4) damage caused by repair or service performed by persons not authorized by Tovatec, including tool marks made by trying to disassemble the lights; (5) products on which the serial number has been altered, defaced or removed; (6) products not purchased from an Authorized Tovatec Dealer; (7) damage due to use of improper batteries (all warranty returns MUST include batteries used) (8) any lights or batteries that have been disassembled or factory seal has been broken, (9) expired batteries past one year of purchase, (10) lights sold as a close-out/clearance special.

To obtain warranty service, contact Tovatec for a Return Authorization number. Product and Proof of Purchase must be returned, freight prepaid, to Tovatec with RA number clearly marked on package. Product must be sent in original or comparable packaging that protects the contents. It is the owner’s responsibility to back up and save all data, photos or software. Tovatec will not be responsible for loss or damage to data, software or photos. Product sent to Tovatec without a proper Return Authorization number will not be accepted.

Please return all lights purchased outside of North American to the original place of purchase.

Please note: All components packaged with the lights (charging units, batteries, charging cables, battery cradles, lanyards etc.) must also be returned with the light for testing

Frequently asked questions and trouble shooting tips for your light. If these don’t work, please complete the warranty form with required information.

Serial number can be located on the light and will start with 2 digits (for example 10, 11, 12, etc.)

* Lights purchased within the past 12 months by consumer are covered under warranty. Replacement parts are available for out of warranty lights

Do not use Freon gas to clean out lights or battery cradles as permanent damage could occur.

Sports Tac Light (ST2000)

Switch seems struck A common problem we see is magnetic switches sticking. All our lights use magnetic switches. This occurs when diving in salt water – sometimes after a dive salt will dry on the magnetic plates causing the switch to malfunction. Try soaking your entire light in Hot water for 10- 15 minutes then keep the light in the water (as hot as you can take it) and depress or slide the switch on and off several times. Repeat this procedure a few times. If this doesn’t work, try using WD40 to break through the salt crystals – let it sit for a few minutes. If it doesn’t work, send back for testing* N/A

Compact Light (ICOM)

Light attempts to turn on when switch is depressed, but then immediately turns off. Test the switch by placing one tip of metal scissors on the end of the battery cradle (must have batteries inserted) and the other tip on the inside metal of the tail end of the light (most stable by the lip by the ridges). If the light goes on, replace switch RP-ICOM-NEWSWIT
Tail cap won’t go on easily Clean O-rings with silicon. Replace O-rings if they are damaged RP-ICOM-ORING

Do not leave batteries in light for an extended period of time. Clean battery area with a steel brush N/A
IFL 660-R

Rechargeable batteries won’t work in the light, but CR123 work fine Ensure you are using Tovatec approved batteries. Battery with intact cathode tip protruding 1mm minimum is required to make contact. Make sure this is “R” version not older 660 version. Use a dental tool to gently pull the metal tab (on the inside by the light head) up to make contact with the battery (sometimes this piece gets compressed IT18650 (rechargeable) IT123 (not rechargeable)
