excellent backup flashlight for night diving – well made, bright, small. O-rings and the body looks very water-proof. The switch is a bit difficult to operate in gloves. Takes two lithium photo batteries – they are quite cheap on the Internet.

I bought this flashlight for diving but it gets used for everything now. It’s rugged, super bright, easy to switch on and off, sized perfectly, and best of all, priced affordably. On my last night dive the other four people were laughing when I pulled out the Tovatec to use as my primary dive light and I also told them it cost me under $50. They all had huge, expensive C-cell behemoth lights. Then we turned them all on underwater and the light from mine literally blew theirs out of the water even though theirs were rated at nearly twice the lumens. At the end of the dive they weren’t laughing anymore and were asking where they could get their hands on one. It also works really well on day dives. It has a nice bright sweet spot that works well to light up areas under rocks and inside little hidey holes. One precaution I warn you about though, do not turn this flashlight on in your house with the other lights off. Besides possibly blinding yourself, it accentuates every piece of lint, dust, and pet hair on every surface in your home. Some things I’m better off being blissfully ignorant of. Drill sergeants should carry one of these instead of white gloves.

I purchased this light for night dives and have used it a couple of times now. The light beam is excellent and the battery life is good, after about 4 hours the intensity of the light beam drops, but still gives good lightning. It came with an ON-OFF switch, not a 3 position switch as advertised and this was a bit disapointing. Overall I like this light and would recommend it.

I have been using these lights for several years now, as back up cave lights, primary light on night dives and all around day dive use. This is a very dependable light that is rugged and compact with a beam powerful enough to use as a primary on night dives. There are always two of them on my harness when I dive. I highly recommend them.
